How do I prepare for laser hair removal?

Avoid tanning, or using artificial tanners, for two weeks prior to the treatments. It is recommended that this should be avoided for the duration of treatments.
Do not tweeze, wax, sugar or use depilatories for two weeks prior to treatments, and during the duration of the treatments. Trimming with scissors or shaving is acceptable.
Discontinue using bleaching products during duration of treatments.
Laser treatments should be done over freshly shaven skin. Please do so before arriving.
Stop using Accutane 6 months prior and Tetracycline 3 months prior to session.
Avoid using retinol and glycolic acid 5 days prior to facial laser.
Avoid applying makeup, deodorant, lotions, etc., in treatment areas (before treatment).
Returning Clients, please be sure to book your appointments 4-6 weeks apart.
Book accordingly to your Menstrual Cycle. Having laser treatment during is ok with me but you might be more sensitive around this time.
What To Expect:

During your consultation, you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire. Our certified laser technician will carefully evaluate your suitability for the procedure, discuss expectations, and address any concerns. I will also take the time to evaluate your skin type and hair type to determine which laser will offer you the best results. You will be informed of what to expect before, during and after your laser treatments - and you will be provided with a quote and treatment plan. We will then start your first session.

It is 20% stronger than any other laser worldwide, and allows us to treat ALL SKIN TYPES safely, quickly and effectively. Most clients feel no discomfort as they undergo laser hair removal. Others describe the feeling as a pinch. Treatment time varies depending on the body area. Treatments on small areas range between 5-15 minutes, whereas larger areas may take between 20-30 minutes.

A series of treatments is required for best results. Sessions are booked every 4 to 8 weeks (depending on the treatment area) to allow for a new cycle of hair growth to appear.

Unwanted hair can be maintained in between treatments with shaving. However, methods which remove the hair follicle, such as waxing or tweezing, are not recommended.

Who should not receive laser treatments?

Those that are sun burnt or use artificial tanning products should wait until their skin returns to its normal color before treatment.
Anyone that has been on Accutane 6 months, or less, before the treatment.
Oral or topical acne medications, which cause sun sensitivity, may need to be stopped a week before treatment. Laser hair removal treatments can positively affect areas with acne issues.
It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Laser treatments can not be done over a tattoo. This includes permanent makeup.
Laser treatments are not done over active herpes lesions. If prone to cold sores, we suggest taking a prophylactic 24 hours prior to treatment and after treatment if receiving a treatment near the affected area.
Laser Post-treatment care

Some redness/swelling can occur and may feel like a slight sunburn sensation. This should resolve within 2-72 hours.

In approximately 7 to 21 days the hair will begin to shed. This may appear as hair growth, but it is actually the hair expelling itself from the follicle. You can remove these hairs with a damp cloth or by shaving.
Avoid any irritation to the skin. Do not pick or use any abrasive products for 48 hours.
If necessary, aloe vera can be applied as needed.
Makeup can be applied after treatments.
Do not tweeze, wax, sugar or use depilatories or bleach in areas being treated during sessions.
Avoid hot tub or hot water/sauna for approximately 48 hours.
Use a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 in treated areas that are exposed to the sun.

Policies:

1.Cancel/Reschedule upto 24 hours before appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours or no shows will not be booked again without a full prepayment of any future sessions.

2. We time your appointment based on the areas you select. If you change your mind please modify your appointment 24 hours in advance so we can open up the time not required. Cancellation fees will apply to day of changes.

3.Be On Time! If you are running late, let us know. We may not be able to complete your entire session. Please don't come early, time in between clients is built in for cleaning/sanitizing and breaks.

4. Prepaid sessions are discounted and hence are non refundable or transferable.

5. All prices are subject to GST.

I will prep your body by spraying a pH balancer all over your body. At that point, I will then apply lotions to the dry areas and a barrier balm to the nails, knuckles, and extra dry spots. Don’t worry the tan will still penetrate the lotion this will just make for a more natural blend.

The fun part: lightly coating you in your custom spray tan mix! I will guide you through all the steps and movements to ensure we cover every area of your body, even your smile lines. After the spray tan solution is on your skin, we seal the deal by lightly coating you in a hydration/longevity spray. This locks the spray tan in place and keeps it extra hydrated, extending the life of your spray tan!

The "clean up": during this time, I will wipe the balms off your hands and nails and apply body lotion again (we like to keep things hydrated) to ensure the hands and feet are well blended. I triple wipe the palms (no one likes brown palms!) and blend hands and feet with a brush.
Finishing touch: our sparkle drying powder! Lightly scented with added glitter because we really want you walking out like the goddess you are ✨
